AIVA Healthcare provides clinically driven Exercise Physiology and Personal Training programs tailored to the unique needs of individuals living with disability or chronic health conditions. Our programs are delivered by Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) and qualified personal trainers, with a strong focus on functional outcomes, independence, and quality of life.

What is Exercise Physiology?

Exercise Physiology involves the clinical delivery of exercise interventions for the prevention, treatment, and management of chronic diseases, disabilities, and functional limitations. Our AEPs are university-qualified allied health professionals who specialise in exercise prescription and lifestyle modification, ensuring programs are both safe and effective for complex medical needs.

Our Services Include

Initial Assessment and Functional Testing

  • Detailed physical assessments to evaluate mobility, strength, balance, cardiovascular fitness, and musculoskeletal health
  • Review of relevant medical history, current conditions, and medication
  • Goal setting aligned with functional capacity and NDIS plan outcomes.

Individualised Exercise Programs

  • Customised exercise prescriptions for mobility, balance, strength, endurance, or flexibility
  • Tailored programs for conditions such as cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, autism spectrum disorder, stroke, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and obesity

Supervised Exercise Sessions

  • One-on-one or small group sessions led by AEPs or qualified trainers
  • Sessions delivered in-home, in-clinic, in-gym, or via telehealth

Personal Training with Clinical Oversight

Who Is Eligible for Exercise Physiology?

NDIS participants with funding under Capacity Building – Improved Health and Wellbeing or Improved Daily Living Skills may be eligible for Exercise Physiology services. We work closely with participants, carers, support coordinators, and other allied health providers to ensure services are delivered in alignment with plan goals
