AIVA Healthcare provides Home Modification services to support NDIS participants in living safely and independently in their own homes. We understand that for individuals with disability, a well-designed home environment can make a significant difference in daily functioning, safety, and quality of life.
Our clinically led approach ensures modifications are based on comprehensive functional assessments conducted by Occupational Therapists (OTs) and are tailored to each participant’s needs, goals, and physical environment. All modifications are delivered in accordance with NDIS guidelines and national building codes to ensure safety, compliance, and long-term benefit.
Home modifications involve changes to the structure, layout, or fittings of a home to make it safer and more accessible for someone living with a disability. These modifications are often essential for supporting daily tasks such as showering, cooking, entering or exiting the home, or moving safely between rooms.
1. Occupational Therapy Functional Assessment
A qualified OT assesses the participant’s physical and functional needs in the home environment.
2. Customised Recommendations and Reports
The OT prepares a clinical justification report with drawings and specifications for NDIS approval.
3. NDIS Submission and Funding Approval
We assist with submitting the required documentation to the NDIA for funding consideration.
4. Builder Engagement and Compliance
We liaise with licensed builders who are experienced in disability-access modifications, ensuring all work complies with building codes and NDIS standards.
5. Post-Modification Review
Once the work is complete, we ensure the modification meets the participant’s functional needs and safety requirements.

We’ve tried a few services for Mum over the years, but this is the first time I’ve seen her smile when the support workers arrive. That says everything.
My son has autism and doesn’t trust people easily, but he has found a friend in his support worker in a way I never expected. Now he enjoys his sessions.
Was struggling with my mobility for months, but after just a few sessions with AIVA’s physio team, I started moving better. Honestly didn’t expect such a difference. They actually listen, which is rare these days.
My neck and back’s been feeling way better ever since i started physio sessions at AIVA. I wake up feeling less stiff in the mornings now and I can bend down without wincing
I didn’t really understand NDIS before but AIVA sorted me out. Helped with the paperwork and explained it all. Don’t feel so lost anymore. Highly recommend
Used to have this constant ache in my lower back from standing too long. Now I actually feel normal again, thanks to the physio at AIVA. They’re down-to-earth and really good at what they do.
Didn’t even know what OT was till AIVA sent someone out. They showed me little changes I could make at home and now I’m doin stuff on my own again. Honestly made a big difference, wish I had it earlier.
I have Sclerosis and physio helps me heaps with balance and strength. AIVA’s team are so kind, they really know what they’re doing and always check how I’m feeling. I’d recommend them to anyone.
Used to live in a place that didn’t suit my needs – too many stairs, no space, felt like a prison. AIVA helped me move into SDA housing and it’s made a world of difference. The place is modern, accessible, and quiet. Never thought I’d feel this settled.
